Focus on These Auto Parts this Summer

We think of the wintertime as harshest in terms of doing damage to our automobiles, but the reality is that summer does its own number of Okotoks GMC, Chevrolet, and Buick vehicles. Thankfully, the good people here at Okotoks Chevrolet Buick GMC are eager to help you repair any of that winter damage and get you all ready for safe, easy driving in the summertime.

First and foremost, summer maintenance is important because that’s when a lot of people make their longest road trips of the year. In looking at certain parts, we can make sure those long drives go smoothly. After all, nobody wants to break down seven hours away from home in an unfamiliar area, right? Keeping an eye on these parts will make sure that doesn’t happen:

-Brakes – It’s easy to check these, and definitely could be worth it, especially if your long road trip already is done.

Belts & Hoses – They crack and split, causing engines to fail. We can replace them for you!

-Oil & Filter – Heat is not great on your engine’s oil, so make sure you stay up to date with your oil change schedule.

-Engine Coolant – Your engine needs to stay cool all year, but it’s especially important in July.

-Windshield Wipers – Ice and snow is not great for your windshield wipers, obviously, and these are incredibly inexpensive to swap out.

-Tires – No one wants a flat tire or a spinout during rain, and keeping an eye on your tire tread will help you to avoid both of these!

Whether you drive a Chevy Silverado or a Buick Verano, take your vehicle into your friendly neighborhood GM dealership in Okotoks, AB this summer and get some maintenance done. You’ll be glad you did when it’s all said and done!
